The chakra system originated in India between 1500 and 500 BC. It is rooted in the Indian Ayurvedic tradition and chakras were first referred to in the ancient texts known as Vedas.
The word chakra means “wheel” and the chakras themselves are spinning wheels of energy within our bodies. We often focus on 7 main chakras, however there are many other minor chakras within our bodies energy system.
It is helpful to think of the chakras as a connection between the energetic world and the physical world. The energy that each of our personal chakras create make up what is know as our energetic aura. Everyone’s aura is different and personal to them and this energetic auric field is in constant communication with the universal energy field around us (our environment, in energetic terms). Think about how easily you can pick up on another persons positive or negative energy and how in turn that can impact your own energy and mood. Healthy spinning chakras can help ensure negative energy is being continually cleared and fresh energy is flowing through.
Each chakra is associated with a different area of the body. A healthy, balanced chakra equals a healthy balanced mind, body and spirit but when the chakras are out of balance (spinning too fast, too slow, misdirected or blocked) we may experience physical, mental or emotional issues related to that specific chakra. There are many things we can do to keep our chakras balanced and aligned, including specific physical exercises, breathwork, visualisation, journaling, talking therapy, movement. A chakra balancing treatment is a great place to start your chakra journey. It will give you an idea of what is going on with your energy centres and help you tune into your bodies energy so that you can learn to recognise when a chakra might need some work.
During the chakra balancing treatment, we use a crystal pendulum to understand what is happening with each chakra, which are balanced and which need some work. The crystal pendulum, using it’s steady and stable vibration, then works to ensure each chakra is spinning healthily, leaving you aligned, grounded and balanced.
If you choose to have the deep crystal healing treatment with your chakra balancing session, crystals will then be placed onto each chakra where they will work deeply to heal and soothe the mind, body and spirit and really transfer and embed their stable vibrations into your energy field. Both of these experiences are deeply relaxing and will leave you feeling calm, clear and centred.
For ongoing issues, a regular chakra balancing treatment is recommended to work through any deep seated energetic blocks.
