Originating in the beautiful Indonesian Island of Bali, Balinese Massage is a beautifully relaxing treatment using a combination of skin rolling, stretching, pressure point stimulation, kneading and stroking to move energy around the body, rebalancing and relaxing. In this 90 minute treatment, the traditional Balinese techniques are mixed with Swedish massage techniques to create a deeply soothing treatment that really does take you to another place.

All massages are carried out on my comfortable, heated massage couch that is extra wide for added comfort. You will experience true relaxation snuggled under soft warm blankets, with essential oil burning, to really soothe your senses and create that Spa atmosphere at home.

I mix my own aromatherapy massage oils which are used in every treatment. You will be able to choose your preferred oil before your treatment commences.

For bespoke aromatherapy oil blends to target specific issues please contact me in advance and this can be provided at an additional cost.

Balinese Massage Treatment FAQ’s

How long will my Balinese Massage treatment last?

The Balinese massage treatments I offer is 90 minutes. I recommend this for a full body healing and relaxation experience as this gives me time to work thoroughly on all areas of the body. Please allow 15 minutes either side of your massage for me to set-up, do a consultation and pack away.

How do I prepare for my Balinese Massage?

You don’t need to do anything specific before your Balinese massage although I always think it’s beneficial to have 10 minutes of calm before you arrive for your treatment so that you get the most out of your massage.

What do I wear for my Balinese Massage?

During your Balinese massage you will be asked to go down to your knickers or boxer shorts and remove all jewellery, with hair tied back in a pony or clip. Your modesty will be maintained throughout the treatment using warm, soft blankets to ensure you are never inappropriately exposed. If you do not feel comfortable going down to your knickers or boxers please speak to me as I may be able to adapt the treatment to suite your needs or suggest an alternative treatment.

How will I feel after my Balinese Massage?

After your Balinese massage you will feel deeply relaxed, sleepy and often a little spaced out. Your body will feel relieved of tension and if you have had a deeper pressure, perhaps a little tender. It is always advisable to set aside some time after your treatment to sit and rest and make sure you drink lots of water for the rest of the day to stay hydrated and flush out any toxins.

What are the benefits of a Balinese Massage?

Balinese Massages work to have a calming and relaxing effect on the mind and body. Soothing your nervous system, calming the mind, whilst reducing stress and inflammation in the body.
