Pregnancy is a unique and precious experience as a Mum to Be. It is a beautiful but also challenging and exhausting time and a pregnancy massage can be a great way to reduce stress, calm any anxieties and bond with your baby. It is a time where Mother and Baby can connect in a safe and calm environment.
The benefits of a pregnancy massage are endless, reducing swelling, relieving pain, improving circulation for Mum and baby, promoting better sleep and soothing the mind and body.
Pregnancy massages are carried out on my comfortable, heated massage couch that is extra wide for added comfort. Positioning is adjusted using a large pregnancy pillow to support you so that you can lie on your side, keeping you and baby safe and comfortable throughout the treatment. Pregnancy safe massage oil is used and you will experience true relaxation snuggled under soft warm blankets, with lavender essential oil burning, to really soothe your senses and create that Spa atmosphere at home.

The best massage I’ve ever had! At almost 40 weeks pregnant I decided to treat myself to a pregnancy massage. Simone created such a calming environment, was super friendly and put me at ease immediately explaining exactly how she’d do the massage to make it safe and comfortable for me. I felt so relaxed afterwards and will definitely be going to her again.

Pregnancy Massage FAQ’s
The Pregnancy Massage treatments I offer are either 30 minutes or 60 minutes. The 30 minute Pregnancy Massage focuses on the back, neck and shoulders only,. Whilst the 60 minute Pregnancy Massage is a full body treatment. Please allow 15 minutes either side of your massage for me to set-up, do a consultation and pack away.
You don’t need to do anything specific before your Pregnancy Massage although I always think it’s beneficial to have 10 minutes of calm before you arrive for your treatment so that you get the most out of your massage. Oh, and always go for one last wee before we start!
During your Pregnancy Massage you will be asked to go down to your knickers and remove all jewellery, with hair tied back in a pony or clip. Your modesty will be maintained throughout the treatment using warm, soft blankets to ensure you are never inappropriately exposed. If you do not feel comfortable going down to your knickers please speak to me as I may be able to adapt the treatment to suite your needs or suggest an alternative treatment.
After your Pregnancy Massage you will feel deeply relaxed, soothed, connected to baby, sleepy and often a little spaced out. It is always advisable to set aside some time after your treatment to sit and rest and make sure you drink lots of water for the rest of the day to stay hydrated and flush out any toxins.
Pregnancy Massages work to have a calming and relaxing effect on the mind and body and help you to feel more connected to yourself and your baby. Soothing your nervous system, calming the mind, whilst reducing stress and inflammation in the body. A Pregnancy Massage can improve sleep, reduce stress, anxiety and worry, lift mood and shift stuck energy in the body. Pregnancy Massages also improve circulation, promote the removal of toxins from the body via lymphatic drainage, reduce muscle and joint pain and tension and improving mobility. All of the benefits to Mum are also passed onto your baby.
